Community Meeting Recap
Community Meeting Recap
Meeting summary for TVARE - Monthly Board Meeting (May) (05/21/2025)
The meeting focused on a proposed special assessment of $620,000 for various community projects, primarily paving and masonry repairs, which sparked significant debate among residents regarding its necessity, timing, and financial impact. The board discussed the community's budget, project priorities, and voting procedures, while addressing concerns about transparency and the decision-making process. Residents raised questions about alternative approaches, such as phased implementations and cost-saving measures, leading to the formation of new committees to review the assessment proposal and establish clear voting rules.
Next Steps:
1) Take nominations for several different committees to help Board Members with major decisions
A) Immediate Committees to form: Budget, Pavement & Voting committees
B) We are still taking nominations for the above committees and open to hear whatever other committees we should implement
2) Take nominations for 1 new Board Member to replace Yuri who resigned at the beginning of the year
3) No Special Assessment vote was taken and will be discussed further
